2022 Pop-Up Run
EVENT: K9-5K
DESCRIPTION: A 1-mile walk and 5K race enjoyed with your favorite furry running partner. Please do not bring dogs that don't do well with people or other dogs.
DATE: Saturday, June 18, 2022, 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM
WHERE: Community Park in Idaho Falls.
COURSE: This is a flat course run on paved park trails and city sidewalks.
COST: 1-mile walk: $20 (no timing chip); 1-mile run or 5K: $25
CHARITABLE INFO: The Race will benefit the Snake River Animal Shelter. Runners are encouraged to bring one can of dog or cat food to packet pickup to be donated to the Shelter in addition to our cash donation.
COSTUME CONTEST: No t-shirts will be given at this race. Instead, participate in the Furry Fashion Show after the race for prizes. Contest categories are: Best in show for small, medium, large, and extra large breeds; owner/pet famous duo; and owner/pet look-a-like.
5K route
Everyone needs a running partner that doesn't judge their form, complain about how slow they run, or laugh at your jogging outfit. Your dog has joined you eagerly for years on your walks and runs to protect you from rogue squirrels. This race celebrates everything great about running with dogs.
It also proves how fast you can run with four extra legs.
